A group of tourists were being led on a tour of the city. This group had a broad range of tourists but one younger girl caught my eye. She was holding an IPad which had a [video conferencing](https://www.votacall.com/blog/tag/video-conferencing/) application up & running. I'm not sure if it was Skype or another application but regardless it was operating the same as Skype. On the other end of her video conference was an older couple whom I am assuming were her parents or grandparents. This couple was getting a first hand view of the downtown financial district of Boston without being in the state. To my knowledge, they may not have been in the country. I found this extraordinary, for whatever reason this couple could not join the young girl on the trip around Boston but was able to see everything she saw at the same time. In addition, they were able to communicate back and forth, discussing the incredible sights they saw. The tour guide leading the group of tourists was speaking over a mega-phone that allowed for all participants to hear her; even the couple on the IPad. I thought to myself, how wonderful is the new technology that a couple over seas could experience a new city with their friend, family or loved-one simply by an Internet connection provided by a company. This got me thinking about Cloud Technology and how Votacall can provide a video conference call between more than 10 employees or customers. The business use of video conferencing is a more boring function but still has a variety of bonuses. Companies can save thousands of dollars by not having to pay travel expenses for employees to be at a meeting. They can purchase the technology and the employee who is far away can view the whole meeting from his computer. It is not simply a voice meeting for that employee, he gets a video feed with matching sound that will help that person grasp every concept from the meeting. This technology is very convenient for every party involved and is just one function of[ Cloud Communications](https://votacall.com/) that [Unified Communication](https://www.votacall.com/unifiedCommunication.php#section-top) providers offer to customers. Having a contract with a VoIP provider such as Votacall, a company can gain a strong competitive advantage over its competition. The services provide employees with communication flexibility while reducing stress, hassle and wasted time. If a family over-seas has the ability to see Boston MA through their family members IPad, then a business could definitely benefit from the video conferencing offered by VoIP providers such as Votacall. ** ### Subscribe by Email Previous Story [← ABCNA Entry Level Inside Cloud Communications Sales Opportunity](https://blog.votacall.com/abcna-entry-level-inside-cloud-communications-sales-opportunity) [** ](https://blog.votacall.com/) Next Story [5 Reasons to Adopt a Hosted VoIP Platform! →](https://blog.votacall.com/hosted-pbx) ## You May Also Like These Stories on Unified Communications [![](https://blog.votacall.com/hubfs/myvotacall-access-imiage.png) ](https://blog.votacall.com/voip-blog-series-votacall-one-overview) [Unified Communications](https://blog.votacall.com/topic/unified-communications) ### [My Votacall: The All-Access Portal From A Leading VoIP Phone System Provider](https://blog.votacall.com/voip-blog-series-votacall-one-overview) June 17, 2022 | 1 min read [![](https://blog.votacall.com/hs-fs/hubfs/GO-Teams-mobile-experience.png?width=215&name=GO-Teams-mobile-experience.png) ](https://blog.votacall.com/votacallgo-teams-the-basics-that-produce-non-basic-results) [Unified Communications](https://blog.votacall.com/topic/unified-communications) ### [VotacallGO!
