At the same time, they categorically *cannot *compromise on their world-class standards for academic excellence, teaching competence, and administrative professionalism. In light of this significant challenge – to reduce costs on one hand, and yet achieving increasingly high standards on the other – a growing number of private schools are making the switch from a traditional phone system, to a **[hosted VoIP phone system](https://www.votacall.com/solutions/hosted-voip)**. Below, we highlight the 5 key ways how hosted VoIP keeps private school communication costs down: 1. ### ** Exceptionally Low Initial Cost** With hosted VoIP, private schools do not have to purchase costly hardware, and then spend even more money installing and configuring the system to match their environment. Rather, private schools simply purchase certified VoIP phones, and the desired number of licenses – both of which are affordable. In some cases, private schools may also need to add a managed router to their infrastructure, so that their hosted VoIP Solutions Provider can remotely monitor and optimize the system. 1. ### ** No Maintenance, Upgrade or Innovation Costs** With traditional phone systems, private schools are saddled with maintenance, upgrade and innovation costs. Indeed, it is not uncommon for some private schools to spend upwards of $100,000 every five years, simply so they can access the “latest and greatest” technology, and enjoy the most advanced calling features. However, with hosted VoIP all maintenance, upgrade and innovation is included, and there are no extra costs of any kind. This includes access to all of the best and most advanced calling features, including voicemail to email, video conferencing, Auto Attendant, and more. 1. ### ** No On-Site Help Desk or Technical Support** Hosted VoIP systems are fully managed by Solutions Providers at their location. As such, private schools do not have to establish – and hence pay – for an on-site help desk, or have any of their IT staff handle inquiries from end users. All support is provided 24/7 at no additional cost. 1. ### ** No Long Distance Costs** Hosted VoIP systems utilize cloud technology and broadband Internet connectivity. As such, there are no long distance costs of any kind, regardless of where calls originate or are received, or when they are made. Furthermore, administrators, teachers, staff and all other authorized users can download a free app on their smartphone, and make/receive calls over the system without incurring long distance costs. 1. ### ** Unprecedented Scalability** Last but certainly not least, with a hosted VoIP system private schools enjoy unprecedented scalability. If they require a handful – or hundreds – of additional licenses to support growth, they simply purchase them on an as-needed basis at an affordable rate. Or, if they no longer need licenses, they simply opt not to renew them. ### **Learn More** To learn more about how hosted VoIP keeps private school communication costs down, **[contact Votacall today](https://www.votacall.com/contact-us)** and take advantage of your complimentary consultation.
