There is a universal business challenge that is being discussed in board rooms and closed door meetings .

Complex stuff, right?

Lets make the seamingly difficult, digestable.

I like to simplify things because I am a simple guy, so I hope this helps anyone thinking of moving their business to the Cloud or their phone system to Hosted VoIP

When thinking of the real business value of Hosted VoIP and Cloud technology in general, I like to look at it as a child would.

I was a child at one point, some say I still am and I have 3 daughters, so I consider myself an expert.

1)     Cloud = On Demand Technology

This weekend my three daughters acted as my alarm clock, woke me up and we headed downstairs.  We hit the family room and the next thing I knew they were using a Jedi Mind Trick to get me to put on a movie.  I went to Netflix, selected a movie and we were off.

At that moment I realized, you can't escape the Cloud and that is an awesome thing.

2)     Investment Protection: From Hosted VoIP to Jaws

When I was kid, my favorite movie was Jaws. I would rent the movie weekly, keep it past the due date, return it and start over a week later. This lasted for a years, costing my parents well over $200 fees (1980's dollars).

My parents eventually bought me a VHS copy ($50.00) which was great until I was transporting it to my friend’s house via my bike and dropped it. I eventually got another copy ($50.00) which was eaten by my VHS player.

That was it, time to go back to renting...$300 down and more to go.

3)     There are 2 Types of Businesses: VHS and Netflix

Today, when you want to watch something, it can be accessed in multiple ways without leaving the couch or spending ridiculous amounts of money to view it. I guess that is why Blockbuster is no more. By todays standards, how inefficient was it to drive to a video store, only to find all of the good stuff was out?  Time is the most valuable commodity and Netflix understands this, VHS not so much.

How does this apply to a business?

4)     The Value of Hosted VoIP & the Cloud Simplified...

.........through an adults eyes

  • Business Continuity: Guaranteed Uptime in the Cloud
  • Managed Service: Eliminate the Burden & Cost of Maintaining Technology
  • Investment Protection: Eliminate Costly Upgrades...you want it, go get it!
  • Effiency through Access: Anywhere, Anytime Access
  • Flexibility: Tech should not be an anchor - Easily Grow, Change & Adapt
  • Avoid Tantrums: Smile the Cloud makes your business life better

In conclusion,

it took all of 15 seconds to provide the desired service to my daughters.  As a parent, avoiding a saturday morning tantrum is the key to a goo weekend, thanks Cloud.
