The All Business Communications Sales Office recently relocated to Boston from the suburbs of Massachusetts. An event like this can create anxiety as there are many moving parts when an organization or branch location relocates. You have to think about new furniture, selling or disposing of the old furniture, informing the customer base of the new location, coordinating a moving company etc etc. Typically, at the top of the list of concerns is technology. When an office moves, migrating technology can be a killer. Traditionally, new numbers must be ordered because you cannot port town to town, city to city or state to state. A new telecom hardware purchase must be considered because what better of an event like an office move to get the latest and greatest and start fresh with new technology. If a new purchase is not in the budget, then getting quotes on system moves and informing the company that services the hardware of the new location, so maintenance and service invoices can be forwarded. If you have ever done an office move, you know that this is the tip of the iceberg and that the list goes on and on and on.
Let me tell you about our experience. We closed our old office on a Thursday and our employees entered the new office on friday morning with their Votacall Hosted VoIP desk phones in hand. They plugged the Votacall phones in, the phones came online and we were business as usual. All of the programming was intact because it resides in the cloud. Customer calls were taken immediately as all of our phone numbers and DID's moved with our office. To our cuistomer base, it was just another business day, but to our employees the move was an exciting breath of fresh air that was made easy through the utilization of the Votacall Hosted VoIP platform. At the end of the day, it is the customer experience that drives the success of Votacall and we are a customer success story.
