Votacall Hosted VoIP - Price vs Quality

Posted by Andrew DeAngelis - 26 April, 2012

3/14/12 - Votacall Hosted VoIP - Boston, Massachusetts - The age old issue of what is most important, Price or Quality is prevalent in Hosted VoIP. We at Votacall deal with these contrasting motives to purchase on a daily basis and I want to say to all of my prospects, suspects and customers, I understand why you have or will in the future consider a low cost hosted VoIP product for your business. I promise that I will not hold it against you as it is important to investigate all sides. The price is just too attractive not to investigate it, I get it. You have already or in the future will type into your web browser Hosted VoIP and you will be overwhelmed by pages matching the criteria with pricing that can't be beat. Now, before you hit the quick quote button you must understand what your business will be getting into and not be blinded by Price. If you are a "Do It Yourself" type of customer that has time to design, maintain and manage a Hosted VoIP solution, then a decision based on price may be the way to go. If sleepless nights and frustrating days do not bother you, then a decision based on price may be the way to go. If you do not mind being the sales rep, the pre-sale design engineer, the system design consultant, the onsite technican and the support department, then a decision based on price may be the eay to go.

If these things scare you, then price needs to take a backseat to Quality. It is very important that before your Voice enters the Cloud, you understand what a Managed Solution can provide when price is not the primary factor. I meet with customers everyday to discuss Votacall and I make a point to throughly explain the benefits of a Managed Hosted VoIP solution. The phone is the first line of communication between the customer and the business and unfortunately, loyalty is fleeting. If you experience poor call quality and do not have the tools to diagnose the issue or even prevent it from happeing in the first place, lost revenue is right around the corner. Your Voice is too important to buy on price. You need to buy into the company, the technical team and the tools implemented to ensure an enhanced customer experience first, then negotiate price. It is the best of both worlds, you will receive a fair price for cutting edge technology supported by the company, the engineers and the experts that you feel most comfortable with. The Votacall target audience is the company looking for best of breed technology and a Cloud VAR that will be responsible for it. At the end of the day, The Cloud will change the way people communicate, do business, grow, change and adapt. The Cloud has the potential to be the biggest Game-Changer for Business Voice Communications, it also has the potential to put companies out of business if price is the deciding factor.
