There was a time when SMB's were an after thought in the telecom/technology world. Most tech organizations all went whale hunting and manufacturers barely even considered sub 200 accounts, let alone under 100 employees. Hosted VoIP and the Cloud has changed all of that. Now SMB's regardless of size can have access to the same feature set as the large enterprise. Now with the wide adoption of Cloud Services and APPs, SMB's have the option to have state of teh art network functionality without the expense or support costs. The top tier companies in the Hosted VoIP and Cloud space will look to these SMB's as the driving force behind their model as they layers VoIP and Cloud apps and functionality to their platform. One piece of advice for all SMB customers considering hosted VoIP and/or Cloud Apps, align your organizations with a provider that knows how to handle SMB's and is willing to innovate constantly. Hosted VoIP and the Cloud needs to be about more than price, it must be about the experience.
