8/13/2012- Votacall Hosted VoIP & Cloud Based UC Solutions- Boston, Massachusetts- The idea of Cloud Computing goes hand in hand with Data Centers. Without one of them, the other would not exist. When a Cloud is established Data Centers must be built to hold all the data and information. The addition of large data centers is growing economies and increasing the number of available jobs. For example, Boston MA is a huge biomedical and banking area in which data centers are required. The jobs being added require a specific skill level, including the blend of business, analytical, statistical, and computer skills. In addition to these skills, most companies prefer experience, but this industry is so new that experienced professionals are few and far between. This is an issue and forces corporations to make judgment calls on inexperienced employees who have the skills required. I consider this a good problem to have, in this bad economy, unemployment is a concern. The issue of not having enough applicants for the job is never a bad thing, it just proves that our economy is gaining strength. The Cloud economy is growing, there is no limit to the number of products/services it could end in and this could only increase the employment opportunities in our hurting economy. As the Cloud grows, so will the need for data centers and their size. As it stand there are several data centers worth half a billion dollars, while Apples largest data center cost $1 billion to make. These are large investments that guarantee this industry is here to stay, those companies would not be putting in this investment if they had an inclination the industry would fail. All the projections show the Cloud market is going to be huge by 2012 and I would say that Data Centers would be just as large by then. These two industries have given a struggling economy encouragement and should continue to help the United States become successful again.
