**This is an excerpt from a recent LinkedIn article published by our COO, Andy DeAngelis.
I want to preface this by stating a simple fact: Millennials are human beings, just like you and me. That’s right, they breathe air and need food and water to sustain life. Just like any other generation, there are some good people and some bad ones, some hardworking people and some lazy ones, some thoughtful people and some a**holes.
Slapping a label on any group, good or bad, is just ignorant. Which means that my experiences working alongside Millennials in no way define or apply to the entire generation. Just my takeaways from the time I’ve spend around them.
Outside of the fact that Millennials are human, my other major takeaway has to do with how they’re depicted. From what I’ve seen, it’s usually negative. People think about how entitled or technologically-dependent they are. I’ve also seen them described as poor communicators.
I want to address those stereotypes one at a time, and tell you why my experience has challenged them.
