The Ever Growing Cloud, a No Brainer for Companies

7/16/2012- Votacall Hosted VoIP & Cloud Based UC Solutions-Cloud computing is expected to grow 19% in 2012, becoming a $109 billion industry. In comparison to the $91 billion is was worth coming into the year. This increase seems large, but when compared to the projected total of the industry by 2016, $207 billion, it seems minimal. That is a little less than double an increase in value of the industry for Cloud Computing, Hosted VoIP and Unified Communications. I find this extremley encouraging because the current economy is negative or stagnant. Imagine if the economy was booming? This industry could be worth half a trillion dollars for all we know. More and more telecom companies are jumping into Cloud Communications because of the possibilities for profit and growth. Companies such as Votacall are using partnerships with Polycom, Broadsoft, AVAYA and Comcast to deliver the highest quality of products/services to their customers. I believe the main reason for the growth besides the noticeable advantages of Cloud services is, the low cost of operating, starting-up and maintenance. In all the business classes I have taken they speak about one key idea-"LOWER COSTS". All companies try and do this without affecting service and customer satisfaction. So why would a company not join Cloud Computing once they realize it will minimize their communication costs (which is a huge business expense) while offering better features and services. The owners will be happy because they are lowering costs and increasing employee productivity by the seamless operations of Cloud Communications. In addition, Employees remain happy because they feel satisfied with the new services and applications their bosses invested in for them (even though its cheaper). All in all, Cloud Computing is a win win for everyone and that is the reason for the continued growth within the industry.
